Helping Hand Center is welcoming Bill Dwyer to the organization in July 2017 as the new Chief Executive Officer (formerly known as the Executive Director).
Dwyer comes to Helping Hand Center with over 20 years of experience in directing, empowering, and leading non-profit organizations. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Aspire Living and Aspire Careers with Aspire Illinois in Westchester, where he oversaw all adult programming. Aside from his work in programing and clinical services, Dwyer has a proven track record of strategic and innovative thinking as well as operational and financial management. “I am eager to join a dynamic team that has so much passion for the people they serve,” said Dwyer.
As Helping Hand Center’s CEO, Dwyer will work with the Policy Board, Foundation Board, and Leadership Team to guide the agency’s strategic plan, allowing the organization to continue its mission of providing independence for children and adults with disabilities. Chief Financial Officer, Dawn Winters has been serving as the Interim Executive Director for the past nine months while a permanent replacement was sought for the role. “We’re looking forward to the prospect of fresh insight into our agency,” said Winters. “I’m very excited to have Bill as part of the Helping Hand Center team.”
