Volunteering here will help many people. Helping Hand, a not-for-profit community –based agency, serves over 500 children and adults with mild to severe disabilities every year.

VOLUNTEER IN OUR SHOP

We are always looking for volunteers to help in our community thrift shop. The proceeds directly benefit the programs and services at Helping Hand. If you would like to apply to become a thrift shop volunteer, please contact:

VOLUNTEER FOR EVENTS

We can always use help with our annual fundraising events, like our Dinner Dance and Golf Outing. We also have volunteer opportunities at our many events for clients and families throughout the year. Contact the Development department if you would like to get involved!

We have many volunteer opportunities in our adult services programs. Volunteers can choose from three programs, including Employment Services, Day Services and Evans Center. You really make a difference when you give your time to our programs. Our clients really look forward to interacting with our volunteers!

VOLUNTEER IN OUR MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Join a planning committee for one of our community events! Or just come in and help us out in the office. We are always swamped, and, as a non-profit, have limited resources. We can always use help with event preparation, data entry, mailings, filing and other exciting tasks in our Marketing & Development Department. Contact us if you would like to help out!

We also offer internships to undergraduate and graduate students interested in learning more about working for a non-profit. We are happy to collaborate with interns’ school programs.
