Helping Hand Thrift Shop

Our friendly neighborhood resale shop is located in the heart of Brookfield on Grand Boulevard, within walking distance of the Metra train station. We offer a wide variety of items, including "Brand New," and gently used clothing, household goods, collectibles, china, crystal, sporting goods, books, furniture, records, antiques, and countless other items, all at bargain prices.

The Brookfield Thrift Shop also serves as a training site for many students working with Helping Hand's Employment Services Department. Students gain experience in a retail setting to help prepare them for job placement out in the community.

With help from our dedicated volunteers, as well as a small number of paid staff, the Helping Hand Thrift Shop provides support toward the Helping Hand mission, "to assist persons with disabilities to achieve their highest level of independence through quality programs and services." Volunteers always welcome!
