Numark Credit Union Receives Disability Awareness Training
January 25th, 2012
Representatives from Helping Hand Center, a non-profit in Countryside that provides programs and services for over five-hundred individuals with disabilities, recently presented their Disability Awareness Training seminar to managers and employees of Numark Credit Union. Employees from all four Numark Credit Union branches in the south Chicagoland area attended the training. Disability Awareness Training is a free service offered by Helping Hand Center to teach businesses how to better accommodate customers and employees with disabilities. The seminar only takes about twenty minutes to complete and will equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to better communicate with individuals living with varying levels of disabilities. Businesses can benefit from the training through increased productivity and opportunity within the workplace, enhanced employee morale and customer relations, and increased visibility in the community as a disability-friendly business.
