New Fitness Program:

Helping Hand Center Residential Services recently started this program that is focused on fitness for adults with developmental disabilities.  The program follows the motto "Exercise is for EVERYbody".  Each week participants will receive new resources, advise, exercises, new recipes to try and lots and lots of motivation. The program is designed to teach individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities how to make healthy physical activity and nutrition choices.  The materials and activities are adapted specifically for our clients needs. This will be a fun, lively interactive event focusing on Fitness, Nutrition and increased Social Skills.  Already 36 residential clients have signed up!

Dance Recital Participation :

In June several of our clients participated in Expression Dance Studio's second annual dance recital at Nazareth Academy.  The theme of the recital was Rock On where our clients preformed for an audience of over 100 people a choreographed number that was a smashing success.
