Partnership with the Family

Family involvement is critical to the success of our program. We rely on a collaborative relationship with each family. Our school utilizes home visits to help generalize student learning. As requested, we offer family training and support to assure a successful partnership. We help families develop knowledge, skills, and in-home programming so their child can generalize skills acquired at school into the home, and participate more actively as a part of their family.

We also offer several ways that parents can become involved in the Helping Hand Center parent community.

Helping Hand Center has a thriving Family Association that provides a myriad of ways to become involved with the agency. From family events to fundraising for the agency, our Family Association is a great way to get involved in our community.

Families are also welcome to volunteer! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Carolyn Kline at (708) 352-3580, ext. 280, or at carolyn.kline@hhcenter.org.

Our Marketing Department is excited to get to know you! If you would like to receive our seasonal newsletter, The Hand Print, or our Monthly Family Communication please let us know.
