CLINICAL SERVICES

CHIEF CLINICAL OFFICER - F.T. - The Chief Clinical Officer, under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for the Adult and Children Services programming. Job Qualifications This position requires a Master's Degree in a related Social Service field - Ph.D. preferred; five years experience in social services with at least three years in a management position.  Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience working with DD population; funding sources and outcomes management.

L.P.N. - P.T. - A part-time L.P.N. is needed to assist in giving medication in our adult day program and autism school.  Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The qualified candidate must possess good communication skills, an LPN license, a valid driver's license with good driving record, and experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.

BEHAVIOR ANALYST - F.T. - We are seeking a Behavior Analyst to manage a caseload of adult clients with developmental disabilities and to work on a grant that facilitates communication in adults and children with autism. Job Responsibilities: Maintain a caseload of adults clients:    Conduct functional assessments; Conduct Preference Assessments;  Write individualized Behavior Intervention Plans; (BIP); Train staff to implement Behavior Intervention Plans; Collect and analyze data on an ongoing basis;  Create monthly, quarterly and annual reports depicting client progress.  Work with speech and language pathologist to increase communication among children and adults with autism: Provide PECS training to individuals; Train staff to implement PECS training; Run social skills group for high school aged children with autism    Write quarterly reports on progress  Requirements:  Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or eligible for BCBA within 6 months. 


DAY PROGRAM (Countryside)

RECREATION THERAPIST - F.T. - Recreation Therapist needed for our Developmental Training day program.  The Recreation Therapist provides group experiences focusing on leisure skills and developing social opportunities within the community.  Requirements:  Recreation Therapy Certificate; must be 23 years of age and possess a valid D.L. with an acceptable driving record for Pace driver certification; experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.

JOB COACH - F.T. - Helping Hand Center is seeking a responsible person to job coach individuals with disabilities in community jobs.  Must be a good communicator; be 23 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record for PACE certification; and have experience working with adults with disabilities in a vocational setting.  Advancement potential for the right person.  This is a full-time position with flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

VOCATIONAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR - F.T. - An organized individual is needed to supervise the Vocational Services Program.  Requirements:  A Bachelors Degree in the rehabilitation field; exp. in job placement with the disabled population, good communication skills; previous supervisory experience;  a minimum of 2 to 3 years working as a Vocational Counselor; prior experience working with the Department of Rehabilitation Services preferred.  A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is also required. 

VOCATIONAL COUNCELOR - F.T. - We are seeking a vocational counselor to act as part of a team dedicated to preparing and supporting our clients in their employment goals. Identify and work one-to-one with clients who are ready for community employment by assisting with job skills preparation, interview practice, job searching, resume writing and completion of applications. Facilitate a weekly hour long Job Club for Job Seekers; collaborate with DRS Vocational Counselors; develop contacts with employers in the community as potential work sites for our clients; travel 50%.  Qualified candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in business, social service or related field  (Preferred qualifications: Master Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field preferred; C.R.C. or C.R.C. eligible; uses sign language proficiently) ;  must have  experience working with persons with developmental disabilities; must own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Contemporary computer knowledge of PC, Windows, Microsoft Office is also required.

 


RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

RESIDENTIAL TRAINER – P.T. - Trainers needed to provide life skills training for adults with developmental disabilities living in the community.  Evening, overnight and weekend hours available.  Must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid D.L. with an acceptable driving record; experience working with adults with disabilities also required.  Previous DSP preferred but will train.

AFTER HOURS PROGRAM TRAINER – P.T. - After Hours Program Trainer needed for our after-hours recreation group - approximately 20 hrs. per week - evenings and some weekends.  The qualified candidate should be friendly and outgoing with good communication skills.  Must be 23 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with good driving record for PACE certification.  Previous exp. working with adults with disabilities required.  Previous DSP training a plus! 


CHILDREN'S SERVICES

PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - F.T. - (Monday – Friday) Full-Time Position Open to work in both a Quality Pediatric Outpatient Clinic and a Model Best-Practice Therapeutic Day School.  Terrific Opportunity to join a creative, innovative interdisciplinary TEAM!  We are looking for an energetic individual who enjoys variety and works well independently and with a team; who has experience with group therapy, individual therapy, and an array of disabilities and delays including autism.  Must have valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license or be eligible for one.
